Idaho Horse Of the Year Contest

and the Idaho 4-H Program
Rules & Nomination Form:
Stone Horse/The Peter Stone Company� continues to give back to the community with their new Idaho 4-H Horse of the Year program. Here's an opportunity for 4-Hers throughout Idaho to nominate their horse for "Idaho Horse of the Year" by writing a 1000 word essay that begins, "My Horse has made my Life, and the life of others, better because..."
Winners will then have their horse immortalized by receiving a portrait model of their best friend by Stone Horse/Peter Stone Company.�
- Entry deadline: April 20th each year (NO EXCEPTIONS).
- Essays must be typewritten and no longer than 1000 words max.
- Official Nomination Form available here for download (MS doc format) and must be filled out & submitted along with your Essay.
- Additionally, 5 photos of your horse (showing various angles) must accompany your entry. Photos must be halter-type shots only. Photos with saddles, blankets, leg wraps, etc. will be disqualified.
- Your entry must also include a letter of recommendation from your 4-H leader OR local extension personnel, (NOT from participant's parent).
- Photos & submitted material cannot be returned and become property of the Idaho State 4-H Program & the Peter Stone Company.�
- Award to be presented the following Fall during State 4-H Leader Forum or during appropriate County recognition programs.
- Applicants are responsible for their own award presentation travel-related costs.
