February 2006 Newsletter
Our next meeting will be on Monday, February 20th. We will have a model horse day camp at the Library. Those who don�t have saddles will make them that day. This will be the last chance they have to make saddles before the model show. Or, they might be able to purchase one from Mary. We will also be doing scenes for a photo shoot and hopefully Diane will be able to come down and show us how to do the photos. The group decided they wanted pizza for lunch. Any snacks or drinks would be appreciated. Members need to bring the models they want to show, any costumes they are in the process of making, and any supplies they may use to make things and any props they want to use for their photo shoot. Diane will also demonstrate how to fix broken legs on the traditional sized Breyer models.
4-H Promotion week and sign-up is set for the week of March 6th � 9th. The 4-H Expo and general sign-up will be March 8th at 6 p.m. at the High School Commons. Nancy has asked that each club set up a display of some type. We will discuss that at the Feb. 20th meeting.
The Salmon Select Horse Sale is April 8th. We will not have a booth but will meet for a scavenger hunt, to put out pop-top jugs and sell candy bars as we go. Johnny U will be there and hopefully he will have a copy of the Abaco Barb segment of his tv show for us to view. I believe if a member wants to attend horse camp, they need to work at the pop booth that day also. ALL MODEL HORSE CLUB MEMBERS ARE ELIGIBLE TO ATTEND HORSE CAMP.
Our model show, which all members need to participate in to complete their project, will be April 29th. If you have a conflict with that day, please let me know By Feb. 20th or I�ll assume everything is a go. I need to arrange for a judge, awards, etc� The show is the same as a show at the fair and is open to other 4-H�ers in the model horse project.

Don�t forget to bring in any ink cartridges, cell phones or pop tops for our service projects.
