Clover's Kentucky Bluegrass Adventure -
National 4-H Horse Bowl 2005

Our club mascot, Clover the 4-H wonder horse, just returned from traveling to Kentucky with the Desperados 4-H Club from Boise.

Go Blue Team!!!

They'd gone to compete in the National 4-H Horse Bowl contest in early February and returned victorius, placing 8th overall in the entire nation. (Congrats guys, not too shabby!)

Since he was already in the neighborhood, Clover decided he may as well drop by and pay a visit to the infamous Kentucky Horse Park...

and his favorite granddaddy's bronze memorial, the statue of "Man Of War," where he and the Desperado club's best kept secret mascot bear pal, dined al picnic fresco under the watchful eye of the memorial's shadow.

Luckily, Clover was able to get a passerby to snap a picture of them together enjoying lunch.

With his traveling companion planted firmly beside him, Clover easily made friends along the way, often stopping to have long friendly chats with the native locals.

Clover delighted in exploring the grounds of Kentucky Horse Park, and even managed to get in a quick little ride astride a big strapping young colt!

The following day, the dynamic duo donned their sunday best and headed for the infamous Churchhill Downs as two of Clover's Cousins were set to race that day!

All in all, another GREAT outing! Next I'm headed to the Horse Affairs Expo back in Boise with Susan.

See ya in Boise in 2006!!!!!!!!
