Breyer Fun Day 2006
Salmon, Idaho
Kings, in conjunction with the Salmon Model Horse 4-H Club hosted a BREYER FUN DAY Saturday, October 7th, 2006 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event kicked off the club's new fiscal year and drew a record crowd.
There was plenty of model-related activities in store for kids, including information on the infamous wild Abaco Barb Horses of the Bahamas, as well as displays by members of the Salmon model horse club, custom made tack for sale, raffles and door prizes galore, and of course the highlight of the afternoon, Stablemate painting!
Special Master of Ceremonies this year was Pal, Breyer's official mascot, who traveled all the way from Pequannock, New Jersey just to meet with everyone!
A great time was had by all!
This year's Breyer Fun Day special run model was a classic-sized dark chocolate overo paint, sculpted by Kathleen Moody, named ROCKY ROAD. Only a limited number of these models were available so had to be reserved in advance!
New this year was a special Costume class held during the 4 hour event. It was judged by a special panel of it's peers.Costumes had to be made & fashioned by the kids themselves. As you can see for yourselves, there were no limits to the imagination here!
