FAIR:
I have everyone�s record books and they are being judged right now. Hurray!!! The fair will be here before you know it; fair week is August 18th �26th.We will be setting up our club displays and decorating our area on Monday, August 20th at 6 p.m. This is a fun event and parents are encouraged to help, as we need to hang decorations on the wall. Members should bring their Native American scenes that night. If you don�t have a fish tank already, there will be some there. If you can�t come then, please let me know so we can save a space. ALL PROJECTS ARE DUE TUESDAY MORNING BY 10 a.m. I will bring the record books and supplies to decorate with. If your daughter has anything else she would like to display, like a model she repainted or some tack she made, that can go in the standing glass display case. This is for individual things only as there�s not enough room for full scenes. The club display will also be in the glass case.
All 4-H projects need to be set up for judging by 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 21st. Members are also encouraged to participate in the speech and demonstration contest. Already some of the club members have signed up. If you�re uncertain, it�s better to sign-up and then cancel out.
SILENT AUCTION BASKET:
We are going in with the Jr. Master Gardening group to sponsor a basket for the 4-H basket auction. All clubs are expected to contribute a basket for this fundraiser. We are doing a gardening theme basket and Kris Hamblin is donating a hand-painted watering can and some bath salts. We need to fill the rest of the basket with small gardening items so if each member can bring something small it would be appreciated. We can use a pair of gloves, a garden decoration, hand cream or what ever.
RECYCLING PROJECTS:
We will have collection bins at the Lemhi Fair for ink cartridges and pop-tops.
Family Night At the Lemhi County Fair:
On Wednesday evening, from 5 to 9 p.m. there will be special family-oriented events and the alcohol sales will be confined to the grandstands and select areas only. This is a very special project being organized by Katie Hoffman and something that is much needed. To help support her efforts, Kris Hamblin�s Master Gardener Club and our club will be having carnival-style booths and will be located next to each other. Kris is doing a "Pick-the-duck" type booth and we will have a "Frog toss" one. This is a club fundraising project so members are encouraged to come by and help for a while.

August 25th - Speech contest at 3 pm.
October 6th - Breyer Fun Day at King�s
