Music, culture & politics. We'll also update Whitee's recording progress.
Because I've had other...uh...outlets, I haven't been using the blog here to post too much in the personal life realm. That's fine. I don't have much of a personal life to blog on anyway. But yesterday I had one of those
I think that's a Whitee moment moments.
While I wasn't flapjacking, by any means, my back-and-forth teasing with an attractive, young co-worker was labeled by her as "brother and sister" like. Oooooooooh. She may as well have
called me buddy. And yes, actual Whitee news!!! I have written a new song. Putting some finishing touches on it (like giving it a title) and I've actually picked up my guitar for a total of maybe 10 minutes. I'm hoping to have a demo ready in a week or so. And lastly, while I've never been a big Bill Maher fan, I think I've gotten to grown to like him. Part of it may be that he has better writers now, the other part may be because as most of the other voices out there are so ridiculously pathetic, in comparison, he's not so bad. Speaking of the writers' strike...I'm having trouble making a decision about this. Yeah, the strike's over, everyone's back to work. But Stewart and Colbert are scabs. And I have a problem with going back to watch their stuff - even though the writing is great and they're all talented. But if you're going to support the workers, you support the workers. They had enough money to hold out. Well, the way I watch each of their shows doesn't put money in their pockets so I guess I'll end up going back, but for now my disgust still outweighs my desire to watch their shows.
