This depot is a nice remnant of the Texas Midland Railroad. The Texas Midland was purchased by the Southern Pacific in 1928, this stretch of track was abandoned in 1942. The water tower was built after the railroad was abandonded when the depot was rebuilt to its original state.
This group was taken February 20, 1998 at Tower 60 junction in Fort Worth, Tx.

The Blacklands Railroad- Sulphur Springs, Tx. has two genuine Alco RS3's. Both are regularly used in freight service and I caught both of them resting on April 22, 2001.
