December 5th and 6th, 1998; The Kiamichi Railroad hosted a two day rail trip, it was a great weekend outing. The trip ran almost the whole system from Ashdown, Arkansas to Hugo, Oklahoma to Durant, Oklahoma to Paris, Texas. The power used was two GP38's, #3811 and 3803. One passenger car was of Long Island Railroad heritage, the other two were an unseperable set of Norfolk and Western cars. There was an old boxcar on the end that was used as a power car to power the other three.
