| Article I - Name The name of this organization shall be the Springfield Music Club. Article II - Purpose The Purpose of this organization shall be to promote and encourage an appreciation of goood music in the home and in the community and to provide an opportunity for the study of musical history and the performance of musical works. Artice III - Membership Section 1. Membership in the Sprinfield Music Club shall be individuals who pay dues and are considered in good standing. Section 2. Termination of membership may occur when members fails to comply with the ogligations set forth in the yearbook and by the recommendation of the Board of Directors. Section 3. Life membership shall be conferred upon an individual on the payment of the Life Membership fee of two hundred dollars. Article IV - Meetings Section 1. Regular meetings shall be held on the second Tuesday morning of each month, September through may. Section 2. The fiscal year will be from June 1 to May 31. The program year will be from September through May. Section 3. The Board of Directors shall meet four (4) times a year at the discretin of the President. 1st - held prior to September meeting 2nd - held in January, if deemed necessary 3rd - held in March or April for the purpose of proposing the Nudget 4th - after final regular meeting for the prupose of spproving the Budget. |
| Article V - Dues Members shall pay annual dues, said amount to be determined by the Board of Directors. Artice VI - Officers Section 1. The officers shall be the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Historian. Section 2. A vacancy in all offices, except the President, shall be filled by an appointment of the President until the next regular election. Sectio 3. The term of office for all officers shall be two (2) years. No officer, except the Treasurer, shall be eligible to serve in the same office for more than two (2) consectutive terms. Article VII - Duties of Officers Section 1. The President shall preside at all meetings for this Club, appoint a Chairman of each standing or temporary committee, shall be ex officio member of all committees except the Nominating Committee and may sign checks in the absence of the Treasurer Setion 2. The Vice President shall serve as President in the absence of that officer. In case of resignation or death of the President, the Vice President shall become President. Section 3. The Secretary shall make a record of the proceedings of all meetings and conduct all necessary correspondence. A copy of the mintutes of all meetings shall be sent to the President prior to the next meeting. Section 4. The Treasurer shall collect dues or other monies belonging to the Club, make necessary deposits in the Bank, sign all checks for authorized disbursements, keep and accurate account of the foregoing transactions and render a statement of the condition of the treasury at all meetings or when the President shall request the same. Section 5. The Historian shall be a past President and shall maintain a scrapbook of publicity and items of interest pertaining to the Club and its members. |
