It's really easy to reach for the soda pop when you are thirsty but when calories is an issue, it's nice to have other alternatives.
Herbal Iced Tea- Boil water and steep two bags of herbal tea. You can use two of the same or combine two different kinds. I like green tea and red raspberry tea. Let this steep for atleast 20 minutes. Pour it into a container. You should have about 2 cups of tea. Put about 1/2 cup lemonade crystals in the container and fill the remainder with cold water. This makes a refreshing low fat, low sugar, low calorie cold drink!
You can also make your own low-sugar iced tea buy steeping two bags of black tea in 11/2 cups of boiling water.
Pour the tea into a container after 20 minutes of steeping. Add 1/2 cup of your favorite lemonade crystals and enough cold water to reach the top of the container. You can also add a few slices of fresh lemon and/or lime, or even a few maraschino cherries if your are serving it for company.
