Lunch/Appetizers
Light lunches don't have to consist of cottage cheese!, unless you like cottage cheese.

If salads are your thing, then do yourself a favor and make your own salad dressing!
Some great dressing combinations and ideas are:
1)  A little balsamic vinegar (no more then a tbs.), a little olive oil, a little flaxseed oil, lemon juice,
a touch of sugar or honey and some mustard.
2) a splash of  lemon juice
3) Sesame oil, olive or flaxseed oil, a little soy sauce (low sodium is better), lemon juice, and  a little
ground ginger, minced garlic or garlic salt, and a touch of honey
4) Be Creative!  Use some of the ingredients I mentioned above and combine them with herbs, and
other seasonings to make some great low fat dressings!

Don't be afraid of  Bread! People are still under the impression that starches like bread, potatoes, and pasta will put on the pounds. More and more research is proving just the opposite. Giving up the starches will deprive your brain of serotonin. Once we are lacking enough of this all will power is gone out the window and that cookie or candy bar is that much more enticing!
Starches will help to fill you up so you will be less likely to reach into the cookie jar.
