One of the Major functions of the Directorate of Public Relations is to
provide timely News Coverage of P.A.F events.
An innovation was to send 'Wire Photos' to the print media. This not only saved time and effort but also presented better quality photographs and assured improved news coverage.
This added to my experience of writing concise, crisp and accurarte news
stories and press reports for more than 8 years. It also enabled me to
edit news stories along with visual coverage for the television and audio
report for the radio. The intricate working of the national print and
electronic News
Media became clear during this tenure.

The CD titled "Tail Choppers: 50 Years of Excellence"
was launched on the Fiftieth anniversary of the No14 Squadron. It Journeys
through the illustrious history of the No. 14 Squadron of the Pakistan
Air Force. Their encounters, the people and the aircrafts etc are all
covered in detail. The CD also includes video of actual encounters.
