of the PAF pilots forced the Indian Air Force to ground all its Vampires
and Ouragons which comprised 35% of its Air Force. This article provides

Air Force in 1965.

This is the story of the first aerial encounter of a PAF combat aircraft
with an enemy intruder, an IAF Canberra, which had sneaked into Pakistan
on Eid Day, April 10, 1958. Flight Lieutenant M Yunis, who was on Air
Defence Alert Duty, was scrambled to intercept it. He destroyed the Canberra
at 55000 ft and thus drew first blood for Pakistan Air Force.
