Frequently Asked Questions

Why are so many original Slayers characters listed as AVAILABLE?
We used to have a lot more people playing Slayers characters in our story. Unfortunately a lot of them had to leave the list, due to jobs or other responsibilities or stuff like that, and they haven't been replaced yet. If you want to apply, go ahead!

I want to subscribe to the list, but I don't know how.
Check out the Join page. Here's a quick checklist: You will need to choose or create a character. Then send in your character description AND your writing sample to the council. Then you have to wait while we approve your application. Finally, if you are approved, you will be subscribed to the list and you will be able to join the story.

I want to get OFF this list! How?
First, please tell us that you are leaving. You don't need to give us a good reason, you don't need to justify it or anything, it's just nice to know when a particular character won't be played anymore so we don't keep dragging them along on the adventure even though no one's playing them. Then, send an email to [email protected].

I just want to read the stories. Can't I be a part of the list?
Nope. The mailing list is only for the people who are writing the stories. You can still read the stories by going to the Archive, though.

My character is Level 4 in Black magic. What spells can he/she cast?
Here is a rough Slayers Spell List. The levels are still open to interpretation.

What is this SLAYERS, anyway?
It's a TV show about a fiery young sorceress named Lina Inverse, and the odd group of people she comes across in her constant search for treasure and funky new magic. It's not just a fantasy story, it's comedy as well. Originally aired in Japan, the show was translated into English by Software Sculptors. There are three TV seasons of 26 episodes each, plus there are four movies and a bunch of TV-length episodes that were released direct to video.
