hello skyartuk, what's your favourite colour?

sky blue baby blue royal blue slate blue
I could go on?

why so blue?

we are artists who produce work in isolation,
wresting the urban from the (sub)urban.

so skyartuk why skyartuk?

the sky's natural light fixes how we view the cityscape.
whilst we all work in isolation,
we are viewing the landscape using the same source of light.
the sky defines the work. you can't escape it.
some of us have not met but we share the same sky, regardless of our response.
it threads our work together as a collective
and after all, the sky's the limit!

the sky looks better in the countryside, why look for the urban?

we live in the city the city lives in us
the faults are part of the design.
other than the sky the only common thing that defines us
is the fact we have all lived in a city at one point in our life.
we have experienced self imposed exile from the place that created us
and I wonder where this path will take us.
check back to skyartuk to find out where our journey takes us.
eventually we will discover what defines us.
maybe you the reader already know.
answers on a postcard please!

so you big southern softy, on this snowy day,
