Overview
Strivectin-SD is the original product line to utilize amino acid peptides as active ingredients. They originally began with one signature product that was used to treat stretch marks (which are essentially caused by broken collagen strands due to hormone imbalances and skin stretching for long periods). But after some time many people began to notice than when this product was used on the face for several weeks the appearance of wrinkles and sagging greatly resolved. This became such a common practice that the Strivectin-SD company caught on and began marketing the product for cosmetic use.
Many individuals have submitted reviews of this line, mostly with moderate to good anti-aging results, especially on wrinkles around the eyes. One of the reasons this line only received a 3 out of 5 rating, though, was because while results are usually good with Strivectin-SD products they are only based on pentapeptides as the main active amino acid peptide compound. Pentapeptides are very beneficial in skin care, but since this product came out years ago research has also shown tetrapeptides and oligopeptides to be even more effective at fighting wrinkles and tightening the skin. Because of this newer product lines that use all these peptides have in many cases superseded the Strivectin-SD brand, so on a relative rating scale these products warrant a higher rating.
