| Jason Beckett
Anti-Aging Rating: 3.5 out of 5 Overall Impression: Good Review The Jason Beckett skin care line is most famous for their AlphaDerma CE product (and to a lesser extent their DermaExcel7 formula). Both of these products contain the ingredient Argireline (a hexapeptide capable of lessening muscle contraction in the face, in a vaguely similiar but less dramatic way as Botox), but they also have DMAE (a skin tightening ingredients that creates a mild lifting effect when topically applied). So while Argireline is known as a "relaxing" agent on wrinkles, DMAE is known for its tightening effects. While these are both very beneficial ingredients when used in separate formulas to impart different kinds of effects, the Jason Beckett line uses them in the same formulas, which could be pitting them against each other. If applied together one might be trying to "relax" the skin while the other is trying to contract/tighten them. But aside form this one issue the Jason Beckett line appears to be fairly well formulated with numerous antioxidants and amino acid peptides. Reviewers of this brand have reported achieving significant anti-aging results with both the AlphaDerma CE and the DermaExcel products. Some of the other products in the Jason Beckett line are very close to Dr. Perricone formulations. However, the ones that are exactly like Dr. Perricone products tend to be about half the price his formulas, so if you like Dr. Perricone products then this would at least be the cheaper alternative. But only cheaper for the Perricone-identical formulas, as the AlphaDerma CE is almost $130 and the DermaExcel is almost $160. Typical Price Range Up to $160 for face products and up to $89 for eye-area products.
