Dr. Brandt Skincare has received a strong following over the past few years as a clinical-quality line that delivers visible results in a short period of time. Most individuals that have submitted reviews of this line have reported an overall favorable response to these products, though some products in the line more than others. Of particular importance are those products that contain Argireline and GABA in their line, plus some products have Grape Seed Extract and other antioxidants to give more complete anti-aging therapy. However, their vitamin C products do not specify the type of vitamin C used or how stable it is. The basic Ascorbic Acid form of vitamin C is unstable in water-containing formulas, which will render a product ineffective on the skin (as opposed to buffered vitamin c forms are more stable). So it is important to have this information in the ingredients list.
The most favorable responses to this line seem to be for those product containing Argireline and GABA, especially around the eye area. The only drawback is that while these formulas seem to be quite effective they do contain paraben preservatives, which over the long-run may have a negative effect in the skin (with some studies pointing to estrogenic effects with long-term exposure). But overall this line is a highly regarded, though somewhat pricey, collection of products with a loyal customer base.
