Cetaphil

Anti-Aging Rating: 1 out of 5                                                               Overall Impression: Poor

Review
Cetaphil became popular in the later 1990s because it was the first to incorporate the sunscreen ingredient Parsol 1789 into its moisturizers.  Because this was thought to be such a novel ingredient at the time (since it helped block UVA rays instead of UVB rays like most sunscreens) it was originally aimed at and sold by dermatologists.  This has since changed as now even Walmart sells it.
Unfortunately, despite its popularity this line has virtually nothing to do with anti-aging as not one product contains anti-aging ingredients beyond a simple sunscreen.  While these sunscreens are supposed to be UVA/UVB coverage, these are all chemical sunscreens instead of mineral sunscreens.  There is also a lawsuit pending against this company and others that use Parsol 1789 in their formulas (including Neutrogena, Coppertone, and Olay) as this ingredient is not as protective as it was originally claimed to be.  So while it may be inexpensive it also has virtually no anti-aging effects past being a simple sunscreen (though it is better suggested that you look for sunscreens that contain Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide to achieve broad-spectrum coverage instead of synthetic chemical sunscreens).

Typical Price Range
Most face and eye products are under $20.
