The name of this line is misleading as these products are not sold by physicians, spas, or aestheticians (in fact, the line is sold at K-Mart and Walgreens) and do not have a clinical background with formulation. The Physicians Formula brand focuses more on cosmetics rather than skin care and the products are largely moisturizers with virtually no anti-aging properties past this. Many reviewers have reported some irritation or breaking out when using this line. Physicians Formula products are very inexpensive but they are composed of largely synthetic fillers and contain paraben preservatives.
