> Blogs are huge. Myspace is huge. I have my blog on Myspace just like a million other people. But as you may or may not know, this site you're on, Skinnyboy Online, has been around since 1997 (or was it 1998?), long before anyone even coined the term blog. I've been posting my random thoughts the whole time, and people ridiculed me for it (you know who you are). Well, I bet you now have a Myspace blog yourself, don't you? The fact is, the blog has become THE medium. Many people get their news from blogs (the REAL news, not the network news -- because you have to keep in mind that the networks are owned my corporations, and you're naive if you think that corporations don't have political power and political leanings). Many people also get new music and reviews from blogs. I am no exception. There are THOUSANDS of music-oriented blogs. And, of course, I have one too. So check out my music blog, lies are just exercises. It's a page where I write about songs or bands that I think you should know about, and I provide MP3's to back it up. Oh, and I also updated my rant page. Thanks for reading.

Fran came out from NYC to spend my
birthday with me. We had a blast -- spent Friday night @ the Guilkeys house
celebrating both Patty's and my birthday (and drank a LOT of tequila) --
spent Saturday showing Fran how gorgeous Sedona is and then a tasty steak at
Cattleman's -- Sunday she made a kick-ass lasagna... good times. Will have
pictures posted soon on
Flickr.

> I just watched "Cinderella
Man" on DVD. It rocked! Loved it! The
final boxing match gave me goosebumps -- I was on the edge of the couch! I'm
a freak.
> Been posting MP3's on my blog, "Lies are just
exercises" -- it's a place for me to share music that is most likely pretty
obscure, but I still love and want to share.

I found this offshoot site called
Flagrantdisregard where you can modify
your pictures with cool toys. You can see a couple of the pics I did at
right. I can't help it, I like having fun with shit like that.
> I just watched "Hotel
Rwanda" on DVD. It was a good movie.
Another good one on that same theme is "Sometimes

> So, today's New Year's Day. I keep hearing the U2
song in my head. I'm also going to have a hard time getting used to writing
06 instead of 05.
> Christmas came and went. Even though I didn't
celebrate it this year, I had a lot of fun picking out presents for my
family.

40 Year-Old Virgin" on DVD. I loved it!
> "The
Wedding Crashers" comes out this week. I'm buying it! If you
haven't seen it, I HIGHLY SUGGEST you do.

> Today's the First Day of Winter. It was warm enough
in Prescott today for me to walk around outside w/o a coat on. You've got to
love Arizona!
> Christmas is a few days away. Looking forward to
opening presents and spending those gift cards!

just didn't work out. It's been hard, but I'm progressing. I posted a
