| Sadaqa is a voluntary charity which may be made at any time. It can be of any amount "beyond your needs." It need not be money. You could consider giving any of the following as sadaqa to SNAP, which in turn would be able to pass on the sadaqa to those in need: children's winter coats, women's winter coat, food donations, nice professional clothing suitable for interviews, gift certificates to wal-mart or other general merchandise stores, or perhaps...a gift basket with a upbeat note in it Remember: anything you would normally need in your daily life, the poor also need. Giving a smile to someone who needs it is also sadaqa. |
