Springfield Artifacts
5. The Burnsie
What it is:
This statuette was given to Springfield Nuclear Plant employee Homer J. Simpson for winning the first annual Montgomery Burns Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Excellence.
Simpsons's safe deposit closet, somewhere near the bottom
Its Rumoured Condition:
Slightly melted after Simpson tried to make it into a lamp
6. The Burns Bullet
What it is:
The bullet used in the most famous gun-related accident in Springfield. It was removed from the city's richest (and some say, most evil) man after it was mistakenly fired by infant Maggie Simpson.
Its Significance:
After Burns was shot, Springfield was consumed by mystery-hysteria (the Springfield shopper referred to the town during this period as a "myster-hysteriteria"), over the identity of the culprit. The bullet was not only a key piece of the puzzle, but it is the first piece of recovered ammunition that was not taken from Kwick-E-Mart shop keeper Apu Nasasapeemapetilon
Where it can be seen:
Amongst all the fired rounds in Chief Wiggum's "Box o' Used Bullets" It's not labelled, but it's in there somewhere.
