Part I:
The war against Robotnik has ended, and the freedom fighters celebrate by taking a picture.  Six months later, Sonic and Sally get married.  As the ceremony starts, Robotnik reveals that he has Sonic where he wants him--under glass.  He explains how he tricked the freedom fighters to free chili dogs, sprayed sleeping gas, and captured all of the freedom fighters.  Now the freedom fighters lay in containment vessels as they live their lives in virtual reality.  Robotnik can now destroy the real world.  As the wedding ceremony ends, the world that the freedom fighters know changes.  Antoine is pleased with the change in events (since he didn't want Sonic and Sally to get married).  Uncle Chuck appears and informs Sonic that he is living in the world of virtual reality.

Part II:
Sonic is confused.  But after Uncle Chuck appears with an answer booth, Sonic realizes that he is in a simulation.  He thinks of a machine and uses it to spy on Robotnik in the real world.  Robotnik is still destroying everything.  Although Sonic's friends are happy, he decides to turn the machines against Robotnik.  Sonic appears on a TV screen and demands the release of the freedom fighters.  Robotnik is scared and releases everyone.  Sonic breaks out of the TV screen, then rushes to meet his friends.  He vows to get Uncle Chuck back.

"The Man from H.E.D.G.E.H.O.G."
Script:  Kanterovich & Penders
Pencilling:  Dave Manak
Inking:  Jon D'Agostino

Robotnik is furious and knows that there is a mole in his organization.  After some searching, a mole is produced.  When asked who is the head of secret intelligence, the mole replies "Who."  Robotnik gives up on the mole and uses his new Wheel of Misfortune  to decide what to do next.  After spinning the wheel, the robots go out and do the dirty work.  The freedom fighters stop them every time.  Finally, Sonic heads off to the casino.  While playing cards, a hat is thrown at him.  He dodges the hat, only to face off with a large swatbot.  Sonic gives the robot a static shock, but the force is so powerful that it knocks Sonic out, too.  When Sonic regains consciousness, he finds himself on the Wheel of Misfortune.  Robotnik tells his gun to fire, but the lights go out.  Once the lights are back on, Robotnik discovers that Sonic is gone.  Later, at the secret intelligence headquarters, Sonic talks to Harvey Who (an owl who is the head of intelligence).  He asks how many licks it takes to get to the center of a lollipop, but Who says that the information is classified.
