Part I:
Tails finds Sonic taking care of Rotor's greenhouse plants. Sonic asks Tails
to take over, and Tails thinks Sonic has asked him to take over leading the freedom
fighters. Sonic says that Tails is not ready to be a leader and tells him
to finish watering the plants. Tails begins to water the plants, and finds
a piece of fruit. Rotor is shocked when Sonic tells him that Tails is watering
all of the plants. They walk into the greenhouse and find the plants extremely
tall. Tails explains that he used an equation to make the plants flourish.
He also says that he developed the equation as he was eating a piece of fruit.
Rotor says that the fruit is from the Mobian Tree of Wisdom. Whoever eats
the fruit makes the person extremely intelligent, so Tails is now a genius.
Antoine rushes to the greenhouse and says that Sally and Bunnie are trapped by
a robot. They all
rush to the scene, and Tails uses his intelligence to destroy the robot.
After the robot collapses, Tails announces that he is now the leader of the freedom
fighters.
Part II:
A robot has been found in Knothole. Sonic uses a sonic spin, but he instantly
bounces backwards. Tails says that Sonic cannot damage his Vacubot,
a robot he programmed to clean. With the leftover metal, Tails also made
himself a medal. Sally tries to tell Tails that there is more to being a
leader than being smart. Tails decides to prove himself by "subduing our
prime nemesis."
In Robotropolis, Snively discovers that Tails made his way past security.
Tails walks into the room, and as he tells Robotnik to surrender, the effects
of the fruit wear off. He is quickly captured. Back at Knothole,
Rotor discovers that the fruit only lasts for twenty-four hours. By
using a dictionary, Sonic realizes what Tails meant by "subduing our prime
nemesis," and runs to Robotropolis. He explains to Robotnik that
Tails was sent to destroy the city by using a medal. Snively analyzes
the medal, but he cannot tell what it is made out of. Sonic says
if Robotnik doesn't release Tails, he will throw the medal, and the explosives
will take care of the rest. After Sonic counts down, Robotnik gives
in and runs away.
Back at Knothole, Antoine lectures Tails about being a leader.
Tails sees the medal and throws it on the floor. Antoine jumps as
Sonic and Sally laugh.

Robotnik is playing with defective action figures of the freedom fighters.
He then comes up with a plan: separate the freedom fighters.
Later, Bunnie and Sally discover search lights and follow them to a mall.
After entering the mall, they fall down a trap hole. Bunnie and Sally
are captured by swatbots, and Robotnik appears. He says that the two
will wait around to be rescued. Sally says that they are capable of
taking care of themselves. Bunnie and Sally then proceed to destroy
all of the swatbots. They then tie Robotnik, Snively, and Crabmeat
together and leave them with corrected versions of the dolls Robotnik was
playing with earlier. When they return to Knothole, they find Sonic
cutting coupons out of the newspaper and laugh as they walk away.
