The freedom fighters launch a surprise attack on Robotnik's factory, but to their surprise Robotnik already shut down the factory.  There is a note that says Robotnik moved his operations into the Mt. Mobius volcano.  Sonic runs to the volcano to discover the Veg-o-Fortress.  Robotnik uses a pinball flipper and hits Sonic into some lava.  Sonic saves himself by running on pinball rails and then enters the fortress.

Sonic instantly runs into Rexxon, a robot that resembles a dragon.  Rexxon picks Sonic up and moves him to Scorpius.  Sonic quickly destroys the two robots, and Hip and Hop (two kangaroos) tell Sonic to watch out for enemies (Ferrons).  Continuing on, Sonic finds a group of animals that are going to be roboticized.  Sonic runs to get Robotnik, but Robotnik launches Sonic out of the fortress.  Tails saves Sonic from the lava, and Sonic says he feels that he will return to the volcano.

"Here Comes the Bribe!" - 1 page

Sonic checks the Sonic-Grams mailbox to discover a letter from a boy named Brandon.  Brandon writes that Antoine is the best character and that the name of the comic book should be changed to "Antoine."  Sonic runs to Antoine's room, and finds Antoine writing a letter to Brandon.  Antoine thanks Brandon for writing the letter and includes a check.

"Sonic's Christmas Carol!"
Writer:  Angelo Decesare
Pencils:  Dave Manak
Inking:  Henry Scarpelli

Part I:
(This is a different version of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol.")

Scrooge-Robotnik yells at Rotor Cratchit for suggesting that money should be spent to repair the roof (there are piles of snow in the room).  Rotor asks to have Christmas off, and Robotnik compromises by letting Rotor have one minute lunch breaks for the next 10 years.  Rotor rushes off, wishing Robotnik a Merry Christmas (to which Robotnik replies "Bah Humbot!").

Robotnik goes home and watches TV, and finds Jacob Snarley.  Snarley explains that after he died he became a TV ghost, doomed to travel in between TV sets forever.  He warns Robotnik to change his ways and tells about three spirits that will visit him.  Robotnik destroys the TV and goes to bed.  A hedgehog wearing a cap and holding a skateboard (Sonic) appears.  He tells Robotnik that he is the Spirit of Christmas Past and takes Robotnik to his past:  a life with Uncle Chuck and Sonic.  A young Robotnik takes Uncle Chuck's tractor and heads for a Christmas tree.

Part II:
The young Sonic digs a ditch around the Christmas tree, and Robotnik runs after him.  Robotnik finds himself landing in a pile of mush.  The Spirit of Christmas Present (Sonic dressed like a present) explains that Robotnik is in the home of Rotor Cratchit and his family of freedom fighters.  Tails is excited over a package that was just delivered.  Robotnik laughs with joy, recalling the bomb he sent the freedom fighters.  Sally notes that Robotnik is the only one with money to send a package.  Sonic decides that if it is from Robotnik, then they shouldn't open it.  He marks the package as "return to sender."  Robotnik yells and soon finds himself in another place.

The Spirit of Christmas Future (Sonic with a yellow cloak) explains that everyone is old and the freedom fighters are still fighting Robotnik.  The spirit also says that if Robotnik defeats them now, there will be nothing to rule over.  Future Robotnik uses a machine and captures all of the freedom fighters.  Robotnik laughs with joy.  Sonic shows up to free his friends, but he lost all of his speed years ago.  He falls flat on his face.  Meanwhile, a mailman delivers a package that has been marked "return to sender."  Future Robotnik opens the package as Robotnik yells at him to stop.  Robotnik’s attempts are in vain and there is a huge explosion.

Rotor wakes Sonic up from his dream and says that he almost slept through Christmas.  Sonic rushes off of the page, then reappears flying a big red shoe with reindeer.  He wishes the reader Happy Holidays as the freedom fighters sing Blue Christmas (instead of White Christmas).  Robotnik yells:  “Bah!  Humbot!”
