(A quote by Menniker.)
On a special news broadcast, Pravda announces that he will never run for High
Councilor again. He will recommend a candidate tomorrow during a rally. General
Stryker turns off the television and responds that it is a trick from the echidnas.
Constable Remington also turns off his television and thinks that he will need
to send extra troops to the rally. Meanwhile, Knuckles and the Chaotix hang
out at a diner. Knuckles believes that it does not involve him, but the next
day he finds himself at the rally. Remington states that he needs a better method
to contact Knuckles, rather than giving messages to his mother. Knuckles asks
why he is there, so Remington explains that he spoke with Pravda previously;
Pravada wanted to keep everything low-key. A limo arrives, and both Pravda and
an echidna approach the stage. Pravda introduces his candidate, and Benedict
takes the stage. Benedict gives a speech about the past, explaining how his
ancestor was unable to return the Floating Island to the motherland and a select
few condemned everyone to a life without technology. Benedict presents a choice:
either ignore the situation and follow the current government or accept technology
and their past. He leads the crowd chanting Dimitri's name.
In Haven, Sabre, Hawking, and Sojourner discuss the current situation. Suddenly an alarm sounds, and the Dark Leigon appears. They shoot tranquilizers at the Brotherhood and report that they have captured Haven.
Finished with his speech, Benedict approaches Remington. Remington states that he could have arrested Benedict for urging a riot by assisting criminals. Pravda asks that they discuss the situation in private, and the three enter the limo. Knuckles has a feeling that something is going on, so the Chaotix leave with Knuckles to begin their investigation.
General Stryker looks at a dingo neighborhood and wonders how he can take advantage of the current situation. Stryker calls in Gerbil to his side and a light from above orders everyone to stop. An echidna named Xenin appears and punches Stryker. Xenin calls himself a terminator, and soon General Stryker is captured.
The Chaotix continue to walk, and Espio asks Knuckles if he wishes life to be the way it was (before Knuckles knew his mother was alive and that Echidnaopolis was still in existence). Knuckles says he never thought about it, as a truck flies by carrying dingoes in the back. Suddenly the Dark Legion appears with Xenin ready to fight. Knuckles tries to attack, but his punches have no effect on Xenin. Xenin says he was rebuilt to be superior than Knuckles and knocks Knuckles out.
Thunderhawk asks how the Dark Leigon was able to get into Haven. Kommissar watches as Moritori Rex appears and contacts Dimitri. Moritori explains that they have not seen either Locke or Spectre. Dimitri is upset, but orders Moritori to continue his plans. Knuckles, Julie-Su, and General Stryker hang upside down as Dimitri says this is only the beginning.
