All about me...

Rebecca Louise writes poetry, fiction, and is presently writing for theatre. She describes her work as being :

"Pretty dark in mood. I like to work with subject matter that a lot of people might find confronting. But I do like to find the beauty in these subjects and I like my style to have a nice rhythm to it, kinda musical, music influences my style a lot."

The plays she has written, include:

"Skanks"
Welcome to the world of grunge rock, high school, suburbia and angry chicks. Bel and Anna are nearing the end of year twelve, but what where will they go? (performed, by Spiral Productions, at Bar Open and 303),

"Merry Christmas"
It is Christmas eve, in Melbourne. Jack and Danny are living on the streets of the city. They spend their day asking people for spare change.This has been performed at "Short Attention Span" (Held by Platform Theatre, on April 10th, at the darebin arts and Entertainment Centre).

"Positive"
A Drama/Comedy about Pregnancy and how it affects 2 young women, (this play has been performed by "Yellow Pig Productions" at Club 303 in Northcote, and also at St Martins Theatre).

"Crazy Cat Woman"
A dreamlike drama about a woman deemed crazy by her neighbours (performed, also by Yellow Pig, at 303),

And has written various pieces for Platform Theatre including:

"Behind Closed Eyes"
About a woman who can't commit to a lover because she loves being seduced too much.

Rebecca also writes articles about various subjects including film, sexuality and the occult.
