Join Our Group!
Membership is strictly limited to
heterosexual crossdressers and their spouses, and prospective
members are required to undergo a screening process.
One of our most important goals is to
ensure that we are able to offer a safe and secure environment
for all our members, their partners, and their families.
Therefore, we have a few basic rules
that we ask you to follow before applying for membership.
BEGIN WITH
Membership Requirements
In order to become a member of Sigma
Delta Gamma, you must:
- Be 18 years old or older.
- Be a crossdresser, or a significant
other or immediate family member of a crossdresser.
We define a crossdresser as:
A heterosexual individual who sometimes chooses to make a
social role presentation considered appropriate for persons
of the opposite genetic sex, without the intention of
entering a program leading to sex reassignment surgery."
- Pay local chapter and national Tri-Ess
dues.
- Initial and sign the membership
pledge.
- Sponsor and/or support an Sigma
Delta Gamma event in some capacity at least once each year.
In addition to the above
requirements, you are expected to:
- Respect the personal privacy of
all other members.
- Conduct yourself, and dress in
a tasteful and dignified manner appropriate for your
chronological age at group functions.
- Make visitors and prospective
members feel welcome.
STEP ONE: Application
Process
Prospective members should begin
by contacting Briana, who will talk with you by email or
phone about your interest in our group and answer any
questions you have. Next, a face-to-face meeting will be
arranged, or you will be invited to attend one of our
socials as a guest.
All prospective members must be
interviewed by two or more authorized representatives of
Sigma Delta Gamma. Within 90 days of the interview,
prospective members may attend any combination of two
Chapter meetings or functions as guests of the chapter.
After this free look, they are expected to join the
Chapter.
When you decide to join, you
will be required to complete a membership application
and sign a membership pledge form, indicating that you
understand our policies, rules, and code of conduct.
STEP TWO: Membership Approval
Once you've completed the above
steps, your membership will be reviewed / approved at
the next board meeting. You will be introduced to the
group as a new member at the following monthly social.
If a prospective member's spouse, significant other or
immediate family member wishes to attend Chapter
meetings and participate in Chapter activities, all must
agree to observe the rules and standards of the chapter
and Tri-Ess.
Spouses, significant others or
immediate family members of the heterosexual
crossdresser enjoy all the rights of full voting members
of Sigma Delta Gamma Chapter provided they meet all the
criteria for membership.
