Coming Home Our Special Places
Home Page

During
the last week, we have “visited” seven special places. These places are special for many different
reasons. It could be that they are naturally
very beautiful places, they have a historic significance, or they represent a
great accomplishment.
Each
of us has a special place, or wishes they could do something special to thank
someone for something they have done. Today
is your opportunity to do this.
You
will write about a special place you already have, such as a special spot in
your room, a place in your backyard, or a favorite vacation spot. If you don’t have a special place, or don’t
feel comfortable sharing such a private location with your classmates, then I
encourage you to create your own “special place,” such as a statue representing
or celebrating someone or something.
Please
illustrate your writing with a picture to help others visualize what your
special place might look like.
