Wildlife

the wildlife in the galapagos is verry simmilar on all the islands, the only differences is due to the fact that different species of tortoise have come about due to the varring food avalible. the natural wildlife consists of reptiles such as tourtoises and iguanas. most of the islands have their own species of each inhabiting them. unfortunately the durring the 17th-19th livestock such as cows and goats were introduced and have bred out of controle. this problem is currently being taken care of throuhg means of extermination. the tortoise was used as a food source and many tens of thousands were killed as food sources and used for oil. the marine wildlife consists of seals and many types of fish sharks, and ocasionally whales. the seal was endangered for a while due to the fact that it was hunted and killed for its soft coat. also wone of the many exotic animals is the galapagos penguin.
