| The purpose of this page is to locate and
aquire parts for whatever car project I'm working on at the moment. Also
to get rid of or trade parts I no longer have a use for. I bought too many
cars a few years back, had good plans for them, but am now losing storage
for them. And like most people, I have too many projects!
I am also attempting to gather information on planting, harvesting and biodiversity of tropical trees for lumber. I have some land in Costa Rica that I'm currently reforesting, and am always trying to learn more and gather information on reforesting |

I
am attempting to gather as much information as possible on reforesting
with tropical hardwoods or any species of trees that will grow in tropical
rain forests in Central America. I have some land in Costa Rica near the
east coast by Bananito near Limon. The climate is hot and tropical. The
terrain is hilly and mountainous. Soil is wet and retains water. Plus there
is allot of rainfall. I'm currently planting Gmelina tress, as are many
of my neighbors in the area. They are a fast growing species from Southeast
Asia. The wood is light in color and is close to being a hardwood. The
banana companies are buying the lumber to make pallets out of. I would
like to find out other varieties of trees that might grow in the region
that might be a better long term investment as I'm not looking for the
quick buck. Also would like to mix varieties of trees, as it is better
for the ecosystem. I would like to find out more about biodiversity and
planting practices. Any info, links or advice is greatly appreciated.![]() |
