Salmon Fishing

Landlocked Salmon are one of the most sought after gamefish in New Hapshire and Maine. The are a prized for their fight and their table fair. They are not an easy fish to fool. Once hooked they are never a sure thing. Most Salmon are caught in early spring and late fall near the surface of the lake. A good way to determine if the fish on the line is a salmon is to look for the classic aerial acrobaticas that almost certainly follow every hook-up. Unfortunately, this is when half of the salmon that get away, get away. The other half of them often break loose near the boat or landing net.
