Woglinde Part I

Powering Up

Best TP/Experience ratio: 0.45
The only place to battle in this section is the A.W.G.S. simulator. The TP/Experience ratio is ridiculously high, (Possibly the best in the game) so I highly recommend spending a lot of time in this section. Shion will be the only one that gains any tech points, but this works out well because she is the one who needs tech points to increase her stats (KOS-MOS' stats are the highest at this point in the game, so she can't use tech points to increase her stats). The only drawback is that you will receive absolutely no ether points, and KOS-MOS will receive more experience than she would if she was actually in your party, but will receive no tech points.

Go down to the VR 2000 and talk to the researcher if you want to go back into the encephalon to pick up the Battle Passport you missed from the previous section. Once you're done, exit through the door on the right. Follow the hallway. While you're walking you should recieve an e-mail from Vector Com. It's an announcement for their newly released connection gear, which you already have (being a vector employee sure has it's perks). You can read your other e-mails you have now, as well, if you need any help understanding some various aspects of the game. When you're done, continue down the hall.
After you pass through the door, it'll cut to a cinematic. Apparently, Shion left the data she needs in the lab; so Allen decides to take the data to her. Now go through the door on the right to enter the Zohar Hangar. The game cuts to another cinematic. After that, walk to the right until you see a guy in an orange suit standing by the exit. Talk to him and he'll take your e-mail address, and promise to send you some "important" e-mail soon. After that continue to the right. Then go through the door above you. Walk a little ways and enjoy yet another cinematic.
You passed up a character that you might want to talk to while the cinematic was playing. So head back down and talk to the character you see on the left. He'll ask you to console his friend. You'll find him in a little section to the left that branches off from the hallway. Apparently, he's traumatized by the casualties that occured during the retrieval process of the Zohar. Talk to him four times, he'll thank you for listening to him, and he'll offer to let you have any of the treasure chests you might find. I'm not sure whether it is important to talk to this person, but it doesn't hurt to cover your bases. When you're done there, head back up.
Shion remembers that she needs some Maintenance Data before she goes to the realian infirmary. The data is in her room which is straight up this corridor. Before you reach Shion's Quarters you'll see Sector Address Number 18. Continue up the corridor and the door to Shion's room will be on the right.
The Maintenance Data Shion needs is the flashing object on her desk. Pick it up, and make use of the save point if you like. You can also use the bed to restore HP and EP. When you go to exit your room you should recieve an e-mail from Miyuki. Read it, then exit your room. Go downward, and then left to go to the realian infirmary. Talk to every realian several times until they keep repeating the same line. When you're done, the game will enter into a cinematic, and you'll meet Lieutenant Virgil. Afterward you can talk to the realians again, they have some interesting stuff to say. When you're done take the door at the top of the screen.
Walk upward until you see the drill crane and all the garbage scattered on the floor. Talk to Mr. Holgar (aka Mr. Driller) and agree to help him. Operate the crane to destroy all the debris and you will be rewarded with a Drill Passport and a Med Kit S. It is important to do this ASAP! If you skip it now, you might not be able to get the Drill Passport later! While not being able to play the drill game isn't really much to lament about, not getting the prizes for winning is. Continue walking upward and you'll recieve another e-mail. The e-mail has the database plug-in attached to it, which, this time, will download automatically. You can now use the U.M.N.'s database to look at Gnosis you've seen so far and review Keywords that are discussed.
Continue up through the door. The first door on the left contains a save point. It's also the room of the soldier who taught that realian all of those butchered proverbs. The second room is locked, and can't be opened until you find the key. Continue upward and you should recieve an e-mail from Miyuki about a plan "to develop the ultimate weapon befitting KOS-MOS". Reply "I Read Your Secret Email". Follow the corridor up, then right, then up through the door.
Sergeant Swaine calls you over to tell you about his hobby concerning the red locked doors that you've been seeing. He'll give you the Segment File, an item that records the location of doors and keys that you find. Right next to Sergeant Swaine you'll notice Segment Address Number 7. If you walk to the right a little you should recieve an e-mail advertising one of NAMCO's games. I think it's from the guy you talked to in the Zohar Hangar.
Now go to the left and then up. When you see two soldiers talking to each other on the left, go and talk to them to play a game of tag. It's a pretty dumb game, but learning how to do it now will save time later. Instead of running straight down at them, turn around and head upward, and they'll chase after you. Run around the object in the middle of the floor and head back down- now they'll be chasing behind you. If you run straight enough, you should have no problem not getting caught. You will be rewarded with a Med Kit for your efforts.
Now you're ready to head for the bridge. Go to the right, past segment address number 7 and through the door. Take the elevator near the top of the screen to get to the bridge. Go talk to the captain, and the game will enter into a cinematic. After that, head towards the elevator and you'll receive an e-mail from Miyuki. Download the attachment, then take the elevator. When you exit the elevator you will be paged to the A.G.W.S. hangar to pick up a package. So, off to the A.W.G.S. hangar. The fastest route is to follow the corridor left (through a door), up, left, then up through the door to the A.G.W.S. hangar.
Upon entering the Hangar, head left and talk to the guy at the desk. He'll give you the M.W.S.- Shion's weapon. Proceed further back into the Hangar and talk to one of the mechanics to use the A.G.W.S. simulator. This is an excellant chance to give Shion a lot of tech points to help her catch up with KOS-MOS. And once Shion goes to sleep in her room, she will never be able to use the A.G.W.S. simulator again. So take advantage of this great opportunity. After exiting the hangar head to your room to get some rest.
