Here are mine. Believe them if you want.
Key:
= You have to have this character in your team!
= Defiantly a good member for your team.
= A good member for you're team, raise them, but not essential.
= Have the character in your team if you have to, but otherwise, don't bother.
= Stay well clear of these guys, if they die, carry on, they don't matter!
On with the ratings :D
Lords
Lyn:
A very agile character, and great to have in yur team. She maxes out speed early on, and when she becomes a blade lord, she can use bows. Most probably the best lord.
Hector:
Second best Lord, great defence and the only Lord who can ever wield axes. He's defianatly a good axe man to have. When he becomes a Great Lord, he can wield swords.
Eliwood:
He's good, when you train him. The worst of the Lords, but training him is defiantly something you have to do, baring in mind you have to take him in every chapter from 11 onwards (unless in Hectors tale) When he's a Knight Lord, he's good because he can move after attacking, so getting him to level 20, is something you have to do.
Cavaliers/Paladins
Kent:
I'm not a harsh marker, and others think he's good, so Kent gets 2 stars. He has good skill and good defence and wears red o.O; I prefer Sain, and it depends who you choose out of these two to raise, because Kent and Sain are equally good, its just i don't like Kent :P
Sain:
No joke people, Sain is good enough for five stars. He maxes out Strength and Speed (well, mine did) and is a great character for your team. Don't get put off by his attitude when you get him, or his 'foolishness' when the game teaches you the weapon triangle. Use him!
Lowen:
I never intended on using this yellow armour wearing man, and never intend to. Supposed to be a great tank, but don't bother with him, use Oswin. He can't see through his bright turquoise hair, and looks like an idiot, stay away people!
Marcus:
Reasons why Marcus sucks:
1. You get him as a level 1 Palidin, he was upgraded at level 10.
2. He wears pink.
So stay well away. He's poisenous and should die *stabs Marcus*
Isadora:
Like Marcus, she was upgraded at level 10, and if anything, she's worse, because you get her late on. But she wears decent colours and has a nicer personality. For some starnge reason, i think she's great, even though she sucks O.o;
Mages/Sages
Erk:
You may think he's good, but he's not that good. The other mages you get are way better, apart from Pent, but ignore him. Getting him early on is a bonus, but don't focus on him, wait till later mages.
Pent:
You may think "WOW! PENT'S CLASS! HE KILLS EVERYTHING!!!" But thats where you're wrong. Yes, he kills everything. But he's like Marcus. Rescue him quickly so he doesn't hog the experience, then lock him away in the eternity of never being usediness.
Nino:
Here's the truth, she sucks... When you get her. Give her the Alfa's drop, and train her, then she's mint. Shame you get her on Chapter 26, out of 31.
Archers/Snipers/Nomads/Nomad Troopers
Wil:
You get him early on, he can dodge quite a few things, he's got good strength, and can have quite a bit of health (I think he can get over 50) Train him dudes!
Rebecca:
I try to use her, but it has little success. Sure she can dodge, but after a few hits and she's dead. She can't do much damage either. Others think she's good, but i don't.
Louise:
You get her as a sniper, upgraded at level ten. Throw her in the trash can and leave her there. I can't think of any stats she excels in, but then again, i've never used her.
Rath:
He may seem good, but he's not that good. Like Louise, i can't think of anythinghe's good in, apart from he rides a horse. He can use swords when he's a Nomad Trooper, but, he's not that good, so don't bother.
Pegasus knights/Falco Knights
Florina:
She's good and is extremely fasy, and is quite luck. But she has low defence and low health. She's extremely hard to raise to start off with, but if you can get through the first few levels, she's pretty much essential.
Fiora:
I don't use her, mainly because she's hard to raise early on, and by that time, you'll have Florina at a fairly decent level.
Farina: ??
Question mark huh? I hear you say. Well thats because I haven't had the chance to use her. I will update this when i unlock Hectors tale. And get her.
Knights/Generals
Wallace:
He's good when you get him, and he would be good if he wasn't so "grr!!! Upgrade me now!" So leave him be, and go with Oswin.
Oswin:
YAY! ANOTHER FIVE STARS! Seriously, he's mint. Don't get me wrong here, he's the best tank. Great defence, great attack, and when you give him the speedwings, he can hardly be hit :D. Give him a Killer Lance or something, and he'll kill most things in one shot.
Theives/Assasins
Matthew:
Only just five stars, but heck, he deserves it. He maxes out speed early on which makes him hard to hit, and although he isn't the strongest man, he's lucky, and as an assasin, he kicks @ss. So? Why's it only JUST five stars. Why? Because he's hard to raise early on, like Florina. But after the first few levels, he's as easy to raise as eating pie (man that came out messed up)
Legualt:
He's strong, but slowler than Matthew. He also isn't as lucky and i really can't find anybody he can support with.
Jaffar:
He would get four or five stars, if it wasn't for the fact he's like Marcus. He's lucky and quick, all you need. Shame Matthew can quick his but any day.
Fighters/Warriors
Dorcas:
Here's a basic rule, all the fighters and warriors in this game suck. You want an axeman, go for Hector, Sain (upgraded), Oswin (upgraded), Raven (upgraded), Dart. SO don't bother with Dorcas.
Bartre:
Raise him for Hectors tale, but apart from that, don't bother. Look above to find out details for fighters.
Geitz:
2 stars, he's like Marcus, except he gives you a decent weapon :D
Wyvern Riders/Wyvern Lords
Heath:
You want flyers, use Peg knights. Heath, well, get him, then use him as a secret shop buyer person in the mission you get him, then stay well away.
Vaida:
*COUGH!*MARCUS*COUGH!* Well, she's better than Heath, but thats not saying much, Heath's m ost probably the worst in the game. Take a hint. Wyvern people suck!
Myrmidon/Sword Masters
Guy:
He's good, don't get me wrong, but Lyn is better, so is Raven. He has good skill and luck, but i'm not keen on him, although others are. Train him up.
Karel: ??
I'm getting to the mission with him on soon. Expect ratings for him soon
Karla: ??
I hadn't even heard of her till the other week. She's on Hectors tale, give me time.
Other Magic users
Lucius:
When you upgrade him he has C level Staff, straight away, which is a nice head start. Maxes out speed easily and has pretty high skill. Not good against weapons, well, if they can hit her. Great resistance means ace against magic users. Use whenever possible.
Canas:
He is the only dark magic guy you can have. He has pretty good defence but has poor speed. Use some some skill stuff on him and he should be good. 4 stars, because he can be good when trained, and he is the only dark magic guy you'll ever get, ever.
Renault: ??
Since i started again on the chapter you get him, and i didn't do much on that chapter, I haven't had chance to use him. Sorry.
Serra and Priscilla
I don't feel i can rate these two, as they're healer units and I haven't upgraded any of them yet.
Other Non-Magic Users
Raven:
He's class. Maxes out speed, has good strength. Easy to raise, good HP. Sounds unbeatable, thats cos he is, well, almost. When he becomes a level 20 hero, you don't wanna get in his way.
Harken:
Marcus. He's like Marcus. Nick the killing edge off him and then through him in the trashj with the other 2 and 1 stars
Dart:
The only Pirate you'll get. He's good, especially with a killer axe. I'm not sure about his stats, although he has loads of HP, and I'm sure he has high luck. i use him cos he's good.
Hawkeye:
Last on the list it's Hawkeye. See Harken. His only redeeming feature is the fact he brings a Killer axe with him.
