Samus is sent to the planet SR388, once there, her, and two other guards procide under the planet surface where they encounter an alien. Samus kills this with ease but what comes out is a yellow blob. She shoots this several times but it has no efect. The parasite infects her.

On her way back to the space station, Samus becomes ill (a simple way cos i can't speel complicated words :P) and loses control. The emergency system launches her out of her ship before it hits the asteroid. A rescue crew is sent and Samus is recovered and saved, although most of her suit has been removed.
