I spent some time
going through a new favourite archive of mine, QT, and found out
two things. One: 3x4 can be a nice main pairing. Two: 2x4 and/or
1xR can be pretty sweet at times. I am not sure why, but those who
write 3x4 as a main pairing seem to prefer background het pairings.
And while I've never had any problem with 2xH so has 1xR always
made me uncomfortable. But I guess I was wrong. As long as a story
is good, any pairing is acceptable. I do not *mind* gw-boyxgw-girl.
In fact, I find it kind of sweet at times. Only, I will always prefer
yaoi pairings in the gw fandom. Nothing will ever change the fact
that I find 1x2 to be the best pairing ever. Rachel's story Sick
Day, is a sappy piece of work. That kind that makes you feel warm
and happy inside. And Hilde is a real gem, especially together with
Duo. |

story the best though, so I decided to rec just this. I read this
with a smile on my lips and I woke my sister up saying 'aww' all
the time. I love the title too, Darling Little Duo-Chan. |

Shoori is another
one of those few authors that makes me love Trowa almost as much
as Duo, and manages to write threesomes in a way that I like. The
angst is heavy in this one, but there is also sweet moments of sap,
occasional humor and sarcasm. And the guys are all stubborn, have
inferiority complex and angst. In other words, just another day
for our poor, abused guys. It hit me right now, what is tere out
in the world the pilot haven't done or met with? They've gone through
plane-crashes, fought dinosaurs and vampires, shared apartments,
been unfaithful, eaten cookie dough ice-cream - from each other's
bodies, been baby-sitters, thrown in jail, raped . . . and so on
more than once. Anyway, this story is damn good and helped me out
of the gw-can't-find-any-good-fics-anymore-depression I have once
in a while. |

If
there was a price for 'best emotional roller coaster', then this
fic would definitely win. I don't think I've ever read anything
quite like this story before. The concept is complicated, and I
admire Sol for ever writing this story. The twists and turns are
even more complicated, and I have never ever been able
to predict what would happen next. The developing of 'Jade' is uniqe
and I want to rec him in my character rec page. Only I'm not sure
into which category he'd fall. Just when you are happy about something
cozy/sappy-ish in the story, something will happen, and it will
be so original and unique that it will suck you in and force you
to read, whether you have time to or not. This is the kind of story
that makes you cry and smile at the same time. |

think of this story as a Shakespeare comedy; fluffy, warm and with
surprisingly angsty themes now and then. And of course, adorable
characters. The gem of this story is, with no doubt, Duo, who is
lovable. He might be chatty and bouncy, but he is also witty, quick
and mischievous. (Hey, he's a half-Fox, what did you expect?) Not
to mention that he is a complete sweet-heart. This is the kind of
story that leaves you feel warm and happy when you have finished.

good! Spooks is really a fitting name on the author! ^_^ The way
she writes Duo's thoguht are great - sarcasm and angst at the same
time. Make sure to check out the fanats for the fic too, because
she has tons of it on her site, Twisted Perspective.

Ohh, I love this story! I kept
changing believes in who were the guilty one and the outcome surprised
me. Every small detail made you suspicious of someone or something
and it was.. creepy. Usually there isn't many fictions that effects
me like this one did. Not that it is a bad thing... actually
it is a good thing. ^_^ |

Well, this story is just so..
happy. Sure is is angst here and there but this is mostly a sappy
story about how Duo and Heero get together, and later also Wufei
and a likeable OC. Very touching, and I liked Heero's 'speech'.

Oh my God. ^_^
This has to best best thing I've ever read!
Sunhawk is a master in writing emotions and the guys really
seem to be *guys*, not girly boys. Characterizations are wonderful
(though everyone but Duo is slightly bastardized in the beginning.
It gets better later, I promise!) The way Sunhawk writes people's
reactions to different incidents and how she even writes these incidents
that some people can call usual every day moments is wonderful.
There is angst, yes, and it makes these tender moments between the
guys even better and gives much more effect. Sunhawk does also seem
to like Wufei rather much, something I really enjoy since he is
written like a friend just like the other guys, not a solitary,
justice-ranting freak. I love 'Fei so it is a welcome thing. |

Winner in the 'a little piece
of Gundam Wing contest 2002' in the category of 'best arc'
More emotionally settling than Ion-series, I guess,
in a good way, even though I like Ion better. ^_^ This story is
also great and nicely written, and Sunhawk's action scenes are great.
I can admit that I stopped reading this after the first part but
did then later continue it and I'm glad that I did. Sunhawk has
also done something I can't really explain well, but I'll try. She
makes 'love' into something that two people feel and need, not just
one of the partners leaning and needing the other. For short, Sunhawk
writes love as a two person activity. Duo needs Heero, he is the
strong anchor and person he loves. Heero needs Duo, he needs him
to lean on him and need him. Heero wants to be useful and help him.
It's hard to really explan what I mean, but I guess this will do.
Also, neither of them are 'perfect'. (though they certainly seem
to try) Both are stubborn and worry about each other. Both are so
incredibly . . .. male sometimes. ^_^ |
