of stories out there without any point and any good twist. (kind
of like my fics) I am not saying that those PWPs are bad,

this story has a good twist. Very good actually. |

that doesn't even mention Duo, and still managed to catch my
interest. Maybe should I also add that the lines in this story
stuck in my head and stayed there for days afterwards. I kind
of found a melody and could sing it. Though, don't ask me to
do it in public. |

We all know there's
a ridiculous amount of self-harm/attempted suicide stories in
this fandom, especially with Duo in the spotlight. I am not
really sure what people finds so . . . fascinating about the
subject because all I can think of is that there are a lot of
people out there going through this kind of horrible things.
( But that is a rather hypocritical thought as most angst-stories
are like that. ) And the fact is, most self-harm stories are
a joke. I've read several stories about how Duo cuts himself,
then suddenly stops when he realizes that Heero/whoever else
is in love with him. That, I think, is stupid. I might not have
any personal experience in self-harm, but I have had some nasty
depresions and do know that this kind of thing doesn't
heal suddenly. Amanda's 'Scar Tissue' feels realistic,
un-cheesy and angsty to the point it almost makes you desperate
for . . . something.What Duo feels is so dark and so horrible
I can't describe it. I fell in love with this story long before
I even realized I had. |

my cup of tea (too confusing, especially the lemons), but this
story was definitely good, and if there is a threesome I can
handle, then it is 1x2x3. Something about the dunamic between
Heero, Duo and Trowa usually manage to catch my interest, I
think it is partly because of the difference and at the same
time similarities they share. To go on and talk about this story,
so was the Duo angst nicely written and the pilots' parties
was amusing to read, and the twister game likewise. ^_^ I admire
authors that can make me care about Trowa, because I don't really
like him the way people usually write him. I like him more in
the actual series than as the guy whose comments always are
like this: ". . . . ." |

sometimes. Makes me wonder if my own are as funny for an outsider
to hear. . . If you haven't already figured already, so can
I say that this story has this perfect amount of humor and angst
going hand in hand with each other. |

'awwww', haven't you? Enjoyed it? Then this one is for you.

of the first fics that really made me cry and it felt . . .
nice. (I know it sounds strange but. . . yeah.) I thought things
like 'oh God', 'why did she do that?', 'can't Heero see what's
wrong?' and 'please make this end happily'. My heart did the
strangest loops and falls all the time, though it wasn't a *bad*
thing. . . A good cry is a rather nice thing according to me. |

that makes you tremble in excitement and really gives you an
adrenaline-rush. One of Ashkara's better works, if you ask me.
Love and adventure is mixed to a wonderful result. 4x2x4 is
usually not a pairing I can see as something everlasting, because
it always feels like something that could take place while Duo
and Quatre are angsting over how dense/stupid Heero and Trowa
are. We have probably all read a story about how Quatre and
Duo offers comfort in the desert after Heero self-destructed,
right? I think the pairing is very sweet but truth is; too sweet.
1x2 can offer some angst, which 4x2 can not. But Ashkara have
somehow managed to do the impossible. |

A nice break when you sometimes feel overwhelmed by all those
mentally angsty and deep fan fictions you often find in the
GW fandom. *eyes Sunhawk and Kracken ^_^* To summarise my thought
of this fan fiction with one word; relaxing, lovely, wonderful.

fic? It won the "A little piece of Gundam Wing-fan fiction
contest 2002"in the category Multipart and it was certainly
worth it. A political thriller, filled with both action and
romance. If there is one Gundam Wing fan fiction genre I love,
then it is action and this fic is filled with it! Ashkara's
action is to die for. The plot is . . . remarkable and unexpected.

fics! Don’t let the unusual pairings scare you away, because
then you’ll never experience this absolutely wonderful
story! The adrenaline-rush is almost too much! I giggled like
an overgrown and newly-fallen-in- love-schoolgirl because of
the excitement in this story. It's an AU, and probably the only
3x2 story I'll ever love as much as I did with this one. Even
though I'm a hardcore 1x2 fan, this is still on my top ten fanfiction
list of the best things I've ever read! Oh, and for no reason
at all; I love Wufei's and Sally's introduction when I first
saw them in this story. It was so . . . satisfying, or something.

Okay, not the most original

a touch of angst to the happiness to make it all feel even angstier
(don't know why) but this is certainly a great story! |

I and this
fic have had a slowly developing relationship. When I first
read it, I thought 'nice' and kept going to find something else.
Maybe what ought to have disturbed me should be the fact that
I liked a 3+4 fic, since I've never been fond of that pairing
but for some reason, I liked the story anyway. So I went and
read the sequel that is a 1+2 and thought 'nice, but not as
nice as the prequel'. For some reason, I still never acknowledged
the fact that I liked a 3+4 better than a 1+2. (I'm so dense)
Anyway, I went and re-read Sunlight because of that. Now, I
was in a 'mood' a couple of days ago and thought that 'Sunlight,
that's a fic I feel like reading right now!' and suddenly realized
that I've read the story three times now, and can constantly
find myself thinking of stuff that happened in the story here.

Well, I'm an unashamed Shakespeare-lover,
as well as Gundam Wing lover, so this fusion was really amusing
to read. Very cute and funny, and Duo playing the part as Puck
was just too cute for words, and not to say hilarious. The ending
was quite nice too, much better than in Shakespeare's version.
