Testimony:  Missionery Walter Hasler

0ur church has chosen the difficult path to work with the poorest areas of this country. 0ur commitment is taking His Word and making disciples in this part of the world, and we can not do it by ourselves. We need your help and support!

Peru belongs to the group of countries known as the Third World, as one of this countries is full of needs,  and to spread the Gospel in this country we need your help and support, for this reason we have a  LIST OF NECESSITIES available.  Overall, we ask you to pray for our pastoral body and the necessities of our church members.

LOOKING FOR CHRISTIANS IN MISSIONS…!

A Christian is a new born man or woman in Christ, the Lord’s disciple, someone that has something precious to give to others: The Gospel of Salvation.

One day God is going to ask for what He has given us in this life, and we have to answer Him gladly: “Lord, you gave me this, and I give it back to you doubled up…!”. That is why we think you could be a missionary in this country. A missionary so involved in preaching the Gospel, as we are, but without traveling!

“ When I was attending my church, I only listened to my pastor’s preaching…

I longed to take this gospel to men and women from other places. But I did not know how to do it.  But, thank God that through Shekina’s Ministry I am working as a missionary. I have formed in my country a Friend of Peru Committee- Shekina Church. Where we have prayer meetings to pray for the church in Peru, and as a missionary I take the Gospel to my neighbors and friends, besides of collecting things to help the church: cloth, books disused material things, etc.

I receive ministry training by tapes, videos, conferences organized by the church. My friends, brothers and sisters of the church have joined me in this work.  Thank God for the opportunity to serve”.                    (end of page 4)

Jean Mauser  (Schwish-Berna)

“ I wanted to find a ministry where I could serve and help.  But, I always had doubts about the integrity of some ministries. Many times they ask for money and you do not know what they do with it.  I was told about Shekina Church from Peru. I was informed about their commitment with their work and their lack of help.  When I wrote to missionary Walter Hasler asking for information about the church, he invited me to visit it, and I could realize of the work they were doing, and all the help they needed.

I saw the love of God irradiating in the midst of their need and work. When I came back I decided to form Friends of Peru Committee – Shekina Church. Now with my  family and friends we are praying  for Peru and I have committed to the church to send an amount of money, even when is not a big amount, it will be helpful to this ministry.

Paul Forthsouth (Ohio)

We altogether will make a difference, and that is why we have Shekina Missionary Ministries, it includes all the ones that have responded to the call of the Lord :“ Therefpre go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and  of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always and to the very end of the edges”  Matt.28:19-20

“…and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to  the ends of the earth”.               Acts 1:8

The time is propitious for an abundant harvest,  God wants us to work together and to take his message of Salvation.

“ I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes…For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: <The righteous will live by faith>”.                                                             Romans 1:16-17

GO AND PREACH THE GOSPEL…!

A thousand of non reached villages, this was David Livingstone’s vision and it imposed him to go to Africa. And many like him have left their families and their possessions  to take the word of God to other latitudes.

When we talk about missions it seems like everybody has something to say, but they do nothing about it. Everyone try to do their best effort

Seminars and conferences are organized to analyze topics about global evangelism, but it is not enough, Why would that be?

1. Mission Promotion is not enough in many cases.

One of the problems is that congregations that are in large cities or churches with a great amount of churches are frequently involved in missions, and because of this an important amount of believers are excluded, believers who would be able to fulfill their part in the Great Commission.

As a result of this the missionary work in the local church is postponed.  The members of this church can not see the importance of preaching the Gospel because of other church’s activities. But when these people make a commitment with the Word of God they respond affirmative, and they are very faithful to the will of God.  They do not question the Lord if they have to respond with their own resources.

2. A Freakish Exegesis.

An example of this excessive localism defense is: “First, Jerusalem”.  Is the typical thought of those who do not agree to go beyond their own border.  They affirm that Christ commanded His disciples to preach their own families and cities ( Jerusalem), then to a neighbor region ( Judea), then to a further area ( Samaria) and then they start thinking of going to the rest of countries ( to the end of the earth).  But these people have not notice a vital element, that none of the disciples were from Jerusalem nor Judea, they all were from Galilee, this situation changed any local concept about evangelism, because Jesus did not even mention Galilee.  We need to realize about the importance of going to the end of the earth.

3. Deficient Eschatology.

Eschatology can blur our vision if we are not careful.  Even when some teachings are full of oddness, this topic has many followers.  Some people think it is not necessary to preach the gospel to the nations, they just think that they are going to be saved if they avoid the “666” mark during the Great Tribulation

Others affirm that the work of taking the gospel to the ones that have never heard it has to be done by an angel….  Revelations 14:6

Obviously we need to the Heavenly oculist, so we can see clearly, what He demands from us and we can have a world wide projection about evangelism.

The new spiritual sight must include the whole body of Christ.  Our arms have to be extended to embrace to the ones who are always forgotten: children, and elder from rural churches.  We have to see them contributing with their part

Teaching is a powerful tool to spread the gospel. Sunday school do not only have to inspire believers but to train them also.  The same happens with Bible Institutes and Bible Training Centers.  Not only church but missionary agencies and Christian Institutes have to work together to fulfill the Great Commission.

The spiritual blind church becomes selfish, they need a touch from the One who heals the blind. We need to ask Him, to help us see beyond our own perspective.

Do I need to belong to a church to support to Shekina’s Church Ministry?

This is a frequent asked question.  A church is more than a building, is a family.  Where do you go when you are hurt, when you are in need or when you are discouraged? You go to your family.

“To those… have received a faith as precious as ours: grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord”          ( II Peter 1:1-2 )

It is better to work together.

We can not work by ourselves, we need people.  Even Jesus had a team to help him to fulfill God’s Will.  When individuals get together to work with a common purpose, that is enough to do a better job.

The energy and the love of God are true.  We can see Him working through our Prayer Line and through our Healing School.

They both are designed to minister your needs and to  help you to have a victorious life.

Shekina’s partners area special gift of God to this ministry.  You have answered the call of God, by sharing the vision to reach the world with a message of our Lord Jesus.  Be ready to pray for the lost and suffering people of this part of the world.

As a partner  you can send your offering to support the Church’s ministry in Peru.
