Sharon and Tyne together again!
In the early 90ies Tyne Daly had a guest appearance on Sharon's series The Trials Of Rosie O'Neill. And now it was time for Sharon to visit Tyne on the set of Judging Amy. She did not only visit her very good friend to watch her work - she took the role of Sally Godwin and had her guest appearance in the episode Maxine Interrupted.
MAXINE, INTERRUPTED #415
Tyne Daly is reunited with Cagney & Lacey costar Sharon Gless in this episode. Gless plays Sally Godwin, an up-and-coming politician, with whom Maxine forged a bond when they were fledgling social workers. Sally visits DCF under the pretext of catching up with an old friend. But her mission is actually more official: She's evaluating Maxine's job performance, which has come under fire due to her frequent disregard of the law. It's a tense situation that threatens to boil over when the two clash over how to handle a case involving a 4-year-old with an STD. Elsewhere, a father (Jeffrey Pierce) testifies on behalf of his teen daughter, who's on trial for attempting to kill him.
