Home > Notes on tent revivals Notes on tent revivals
Schedule
- Monday
- Travel to revival site and set up tents.
- Wear work clothes while travelling on the bus. It is not uncommon to be unloading the trailer literally minutes after pulling in the driveway.
- Bring books for the bus trip; the average travel time in-between revivals this year was 6 hours. Do not expect to sleep much unless you bring a pillow and blanket; the bus is not that comfortable.
- Tuesday
- Do all other setup. This is a full day's work, even though the tents are already done.
- Wear work clothes.
- Wednesday - Saturday
- Classes, soulwinning, and revival meetings.
- Dress clothes - including a dress shirt and tie - are expected all day.
- Classes generally run from 9am-noon.
- From noon until 1pm is lunch.
- 1-2pm is a soulwinning class.
- Soulwinning is from 2 until 4 or 4:30.
- Dinner fits in here. Ususally.
- Revival meetings start at 7pm, but you'll generally be on a bus route or blitz bus leaving around 5:30 or 6pm.
- Sunday
- Two church services, usually 11am and early afternoon (2 or 4pm). The second service is casual dress.
- Wear dress clothes, but bring work clothes to change into in-between services. You usually do not go back to your home base Sunday afternoon.
- Immediately after the second service, everything is taken down. This makes for a late night.
