Restoration (Come Ye Sinners)
From Southern Harmony
This is a copy of Restoration from "The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion" by William Walker (1854, available online). Like most songs in Southern Harmony, it is presented in a simple three-part fashion (soprano, tenor, and bass), with the melody on the tenor line. Also characteristic of this collection is a slightly more medieval-sounding harmonization.
Walker has the following words to the tune: "Mercy, O thou Son of David! Thus blind Bartimeus pray'd: Others by thy grace are saved, O vouchsafe to me thine aid." These lyrics are not included in the files below.

Walker's Southern Harmony was published in 1854, so all hymns from that book are now in the public domain.
A more modern arrangement
This is a copy of the same tune, rearranged in a more modern style, presented here in a classic hymnal fashion. Includes four verses of "Come Ye Sinners".
