Other than food industry, people are turning their eyes for additional care such aroma therapy and spa. Moving on to aroma therapy, I want to give you three that I personally like.
What is Aroma?
aromatherapy: aromatherapy
The use of volatile plant oils, including essential oils, for psychological and physical well-being.
History of Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy had been around for 6000 years or more. The Greeks, Romans, and ancient Egyptians all used aromatherapy oils. It is said that the Egyptian physician Imhotep recommended fragrant oils for bathing, massage, and for embalming their dead nearly 6000 years ago. Imhotep is known as Egyptian god for medicine and healing.
The modern era of aromatherapy was started from 1930 by the French chemist Rene Maurice Gattefosse. He came up with the term aromatherapy for the therapeutic use of essential oils. He was surprised by the benefits of lavender oil in healing. He got to know the good about aromatherapy when he got his hand burned and no scar was left over when using aroma. This is how he started investigating the effect of other essential oils for healing and for their psychotherapeutic benefits.
During world war II, the French army surgeon Dr. Jean Valnet used essential oils as antiseptics. Later, Madame Marguerite Maury elevated aromatherapy as a holistic therapy. She started prescribing essential oils as remedy for her patients. She is also contributed to the use of modern use for essential oil in message.
I would say that aromatherapy works the best when it works on the mind and body simultaneously.
What is good about aroma?
Essential oils that we inhaled are good for both psychologically and physically.
Aroma stimulates the brain to react-oils that are applied to skin, eventually are said that they go in to bloodstream. The components of the various oils are beneficial in many fields of our health, beauty & hygiene conditions.
Here are some aromas that I personally like.
