THE SHERWOOD FORESTERS MUSEUM

Education Project

The Sherwood Foresters Museum's diaries, letters photographs, uniforms and other artefacts tell the story of the Regiment, events of national interest and their relation to the local community.

More than that, they help bring history alive

We have resource boxes for Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 History/Geography

We also do 'living history' illustrated talks suitable for local history and heritage groups, including:

"How I met Florence Nightingale"by Sergeant Thomas Clarke of the 95th Derbyshire Regiment in period uniform.

"The Story of Poppy Day" told by Captain Albert Spencer, an officer of the Sherwood Foresters Regiment in WW1 uniform.
