June 18 - Grand Forks Game #1 :: Tied with Red River Strikers 0-0
Welcome to our guest players Taylor Rae, Jennifer and Kirstin who certainly contributed immensely to our team. What a great game to start the tournament! Both teams had many chances to score but no one could put one home in the 1st half as both keepers played well. We started to dominate in the second half as Emily, Jenna, Steph, Jennifer and Lauryn all had great chances to score but couldn't beat their keeper. Best play of the game was by Amy as she bicycle kicked a ball away from from our goal line to save a sure goal. We couldn't pick players of the game tonight as everyone played hard. Serena had a good 1st half but had little action in the 2nd. It was a very entertaining game!

June 16 - Lost to Phoenix 3-2
We started the game very slowly again. Easily our worst half of soccer this season. It was thanks to Serena that we were only down 2-1 at the half. Our goal was a pretty one. A long pass from Aly to Jenna to Jessica back to Jenna who crossed the ball to Lauryn who headed the ball in front to Steph who buried a left footer. We played much better in the 2nd half with a lot more intensity but couldn't pull it out. Our second goal was also a beauty. Emily to Jenna to Lauryn to Jenna to Steph who shot off the cross bar back to Emily who scored. Serena, who was easily our best player tonight, and Steph were players of the game.

June 14 - Lost to Bonivital Blaze 3-1
We were missing Rebecca, Kaitlin and injured Breanne tonight. The Bonivital team started strongly and we had difficulty with them. We were down 2-0 at the half and Serena had a very good half in goal. Emily scored in the 2nd half with a strong effort, was taken down in the penalty area and scored on the penalty shot. The ball was in our zone most of the night and our defense did play well. Amy and Aly were named players of the game with strong efforts from Rochelle and Sam.
