Valerie

The beautiful and enigmatic Valerie is first introduced as nothing more than another ordinary village girl who proves friendly and respectful at all times, often scolding the other islanders for being nosey or rude.

As the story progresses, Valerie develops a closer relationship to Link, taking a personal interest in his quest to wake the Windfish and return home to Hyrule. She is one of the few islanders who is brave enough and capable enough to enter the dungeons of the Nightmares, although she prefers to help in less violent ways.

In general, Valerie is a peaceful woman who prefers using magic to weapons. She serves the Mabe Village as a healer and occasionally works alongside Tracy to brew powerful healing potions from local herbs.

Despite all outward appearances, Valerie occasionally proves herself to be a bit of a snob, treating others as insignificant when compared with what she views as the larger scheme.

Valerie is not a Human. She is an angelic being who was sent by Farore to guide Link and Zelda through their quest to wake the Windfish. Little, if anything, is known about Valerie's life prior to her entry into Farore's service, but the observant fan will see her name pop up from time to time in other fanfictions.
