Here are a few of the kids in one of my ongoing groups. I meet with them once a month for teaching and crafts. Many times we have 80 kids.

Never thought I would be teaching English, but here I am with my three eager students, Lester Ivan, Emerson Ariel and Obed Erique, all from the village of Santa Catalina Barahona. They learned so much very quickly.

The balloon says "JESUS ME AMA" and one of my supporters sent about 250. They were very popular. All were distributed during the Christmas outreaches. These little girls live outside of Chichicastenango in a remote canton.

You have to see our Christmas party out in Santa Catalina. We had about 60 kids and we sang and sang every song we knew. I spoke about the colors of Christmas and what they represented. Each kid got a little bag of treats, candies, candy canes, balloons, little toys and I had baked and baked cupcakes and made a great drink of chocolate, milk and coffee. They thought it was the best thing they ever had!!

Pastor Patricio Sucuc and his family

He's really a missionary to his own country, a Cakchiquel Indian, God called him ten years ago to work with the Quiche Indians in the Chichicastenango area. He now pastors three churches and this year is the president of the pastor's association in the departmento of Quiche. I'm sponsoring his fifteen year old son, Elias, to atttend school this year. It's his first year of high school, well they call it "primero basico" and it is quite expensive compared to what Pastor Sucuc receives. Last year Elias grew plants, fruit and flowers to make his tuition. Please pray for this precious pastor and his family!!

Yes, it's ME!!!

Believe it or not there are over 200 bananas in this basket on my head. I had purchased them inside the market and caused quite a stir carrying them on my head local style. They were for the kids up in Chinique at the feeding center run by Liz Nolan. It a country where bananas are a major export the children in the campo rarely get fruit, so this was a big treat. The day I took them up, it is a four hour drive from Antigua, we had about 90 kids. There was NO PROBLEM giving out the surplus.

We are making those praise instruments. I had spent Christmas day organizing all the material for the outreach the next day. This area is remote and such a bear to drive to. Two times I lost my locomotion and had to back down hills, but we made it!! Praise God !! I had two helpers go with me and that was wonderful. These kids all ready knew the song "We bring the Sacrifice of Praise".
After we made the instrument they had a program for the parents using their newly constructed insturments! Glory to God!!
