The Boeing Windsurfing Club (BWC) has some 100-150 members (depending how effectively we recruited). Membership is limited to Boeing employees, retirees, and contract personnel within Boeing, and all dependents. The club is one of some 93 Boeing employee recreation clubs sponsored by the company. Company sponsorship consists of club-owned equipment and use of company facilities for club business and meetings.

The BWC conducts weekend and afterwork sail-ins, runs weekend overnight outings to various sailing sites, has a weeklong caravan trip once each year, and hosts clinics. Occasionally the club has cooperative events with the Northwest Boardsailing Association and the Seattle Women's Windsurfing Club in Seattle.

The BWC has beginner nights after work during the summer at Coulon Park on Lake Washington and at Lake Ballinger in Mountlake Terrace. Days and times TBD. Beginning members can make use of club-owned beginner equipment under the tutelage (informal lessons) of experienced members, some of whom are certified instructors. The club owns a small fleet of beginner, intermediate shortboard, and high-wind shortboard equipment for checkout by the members. This permits members to try equipment and hone their skills before buying equipment from the windsurfing industry vendors.

The club has a reserved campsite in Hood River (the Gorge) for certain nights during holiday weekends. Club members reimburse a modest fee to the club to use the campsite. Club members can invite guests for the campsite. See the newsletter for the schedule.
