On this page I will show a range of different rigs. These rigs will be easy to construct and will cope with most fishing needs. The first rig I will show you is a one hooker or a one hook paternoster.
For this rig you will need some 60lb shockleader, 20lb amnesia, a size 8 swivel, trace crimps, a weight clip, some small beads
First tie a loop Knot of the top of about 3 foot of shockleader. Then thread on in this order, crimp/bead/swivel/bead/crimp -o/o- ( If using an impact shield thread on after -o/o- ,a crimp/bead/impact shield/tubing. So it would go in this order, crimp/bead/swivel/bead/crimp/crimp/bead/shield/tubing, as shown in the picture above. Now tie on your weight clip.
Now tie about 2 foot of amnesia to the swivel and thread on a crimp or telephone wire/sequin/then tie on your hook. If using a bait clip catch the hook in the clip and slide the swivel up the shockleader until the swivel wont go any more. Now crimp the bottom crimp where the swivel was and crimp the top crimp just above. To finish make sure the bait clip works and check all knots.

For this rig you will need some, 60lb shockleader, 20lb amnesia, size 8 swivel and cascade swivels, impact shield or impact lead, weight clip, beads, crimps, sequins.
First tie a loop knot at the top of a long piece of shockleader then thread on in this order,crimp/bead/swivel/bead/crimp/crimp/bead/cascade/bead/cascade/bead/crimp/crimp/bead/cascade/bead/crimp( -o/o- -o/o- -o/o- ). If using an impact shield thread on a crimp/bead/impact shield/tubing after the first lot of things. Now tie on your weight clip and clip on a weight.
Now cut 3 lenghts of amnesia about 12" long. Tie one of these to each swivel and then thread on a crimp or telephone wire/a sequin/then tie on your hook, do this 3 times. When all this is done hang your rig up on a hook on a wall or something.
Now the trick is to crimp each crimp a little bit so you can move them into place. Catch the bottom hook in the impact shield or lead now move the cascade up until the amnesia is tight then crimp the crimp, catch the second from bottom hook in the bottom cascade and tighten the amnesia and crimp the second from bottom crimp, repeat this with the top hook snood and then crimp all the top crimps
Your rig should look like the picture. To finish check all knots and make sure your bait clips work. To make a flapper just leave out the bait clips.
