A BIT ABOUT ME.

(gradually turning into a book!)

CHRISTMAS 2002
<><><><><><><>

June 2003.

Lucky to be able to work from home, I've been with US INSPECT, home inspections for five years, since '98 - working in the radon dept'. And-no-I still don't glow in the dark! (But I'm working on it:).

Keeping fit, so I can handle my horses!(Think I need a tan)

Working out has become a very important part of my life, since I hurt my back (herniated discs)and my hip is about fifty percent degenerated due to arthritis. Some days are worse than others and there are times when a jolt from a spooking horse or playful colt (mentioning no names:) renders me quite useless for a while.
Keeping fit, is now a way of life and I take it very seriously.
At age 46 in Dec' 2002, I'm noticing many changes that require me to 'think' about how I manage myself. Not so much the 'care free gal' I was in my twenties and thirties, when a lot of the damage was actually done, breaking horses and falls while jumping etc.
Now I'm starting to jump Rambo, if I stop and think about what might happen, we'd never leave the ground!
But, you only live once, so you've got to take risks to really feel alive.

I have other, less hazardous hobbies. I did a little oil painting for a while (don't laugh), write poetry, play guitar and sing a little-used to be in a band many years ago. Now I amuse myself with karaoke (Stop laughing!).
My latest hobby is, working on this webpage

<><><><><><><><>

I have always been a huge dog lover. I've rescued countless strays and adopted many from the pound. Right now, I have two black lab mix boys, that I adopted five years ago from the pound. I could write a book on the dogs that have come into my life in one way or another. One in particular, who left a big impression on me was 'Henry', the Great Dane.

Read about my fascinating encounters with the California desert creatures.

Read about my adventures in rescuing wildlife.

(I warned you this was turning into a book)

Passion For Wildlife.

Soaking up the sun.

Something that's been very hard for me to face and talk about over the years, is the loss of my parents. This had a profound effect on my life and has a lot to do with the person I am, so I felt compelled to write about it.
